Zovie Software, LLC.

Small software, made properly.

Zovie is a one-person software company in Los Angeles. We build a small number of apps and finish them: design, engineering, and everything in between.

How we work

A little bit about us.

Inside Zovie

What we’re building.

Growl running on iPhone: a recipe library, a step being read aloud, and a hands-free cooking view.

Growl

A cooking app that reads each step aloud and waits for you, so your hands never leave the food. Every recipe is produced in-house: narrated, filmed, and written for the way people actually cook. Launching October 2026.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

One person: Eric Fillingame, a product designer and builder in Los Angeles. Everything here is designed, built, and shipped by me.

Yes, selectively.

Native iOS in SwiftUI, native Android, and web in Next.js with TypeScript and Tailwind. Design starts in Figma and stays the source of truth: tokens, type scale, and components carry through to code, so what ships matches what was designed. AI sits in the loop the whole way, from the first screen to the shipped build.

Design and engineering aren’t separate stages here. I design in Figma, build with AI in the loop, and verify on real devices. It’s the same loop, not a handoff.

No. Products are paid for by the people who use them, which is the only arrangement that keeps incentives straight.
